Metrosexual/LGBTQ

THE SWARMITE has worked  with all sexualities - str8 guys find they can be honest with him without being competitive, str8 women find empathy of emotional understanding, those bisexual or bi-curious find courage to discuss and explore without guilt and trannies can come dressed or dress at session. He understands that many Londoners use escorts, enjoy fetish or swinging clubs and have non-requirement for an emotional relationship preferring singledom and that fuck buddies have a healthy place in many lives.

Gay men and lesbians have no need to educate this therapist and having been str8, bi, gay and a winning cross dresser in his lifetime THE SWARMITE offers no judgement.
His experienced recovery from sex addiction in the mid 80′s is currently assisting many men controlled by isolation, secret behaviors, ONLINE NET ADDICTION and constant chem use. He believes that labels are useful for people to understand who they are before they shred them or honour them. The majority use one label while others use many as they wander into the sexual mire but METROSEXUAL or LGBTQ may be new to you.  Social Service Providers also use the terms Men who have Sex with Men & Women who have Sex with Women to denote those who act out same-sex sexual activities but do not classify themselves as gay or even bisexual.

There’s nowt as Queer as folk.

METROSEXUAL is a neologism of the 2000s generally applied to heterosexual men with a strong concern for their appearance, and/or whose lifestyles display attributes stereotypically attributed to gay men.

Debate surrounds the term’s use as a theoretical signifier of gender deconstruction and its associations with consumerism.

In 1994 Writer Mark Simpson wrote : " The typical metrosexual is a young man with money to spend, living in or within easy reach of a metropolis – because that’s where all the best shops, clubs, gyms and hairdressers are. He might be officially gay, straight or bisexual, but this is utterly immaterial because he has clearly taken himself as his own love object and pleasure as his sexual preference. Particular professions, such as modeling, waiting tables, media, pop music and, nowadays, sport, seem to attract them but, truth be told, like male vanity products and herpes, they’re pretty much everywhere. "

Here is DAVID BECKHAM – Britain’s and London’s most famous Metrosexual and according to Posh LITTLE Britain doesn’t come into it. In Posh we trust.

Now it gets a bit complicated but our friends at WIKI simply say : LGBT (or GLBT) is an initialism referring collectively to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. In use since the 1990s, the term “LGBT” is an adaptation of the initialism “LGB” which itself started replacing the phrase " gay community ” which many within LGBT communities felt did not represent accurately all those to which it referred. In modern usage, the term LGBT is intended to emphasize a diversity of sexuality and gender identity-based cultures and is sometimes used to refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual instead of exclusively to people who are homosexual, bisexual, or transgender.

As of 2005, the acronym has become mainstream as a self-designation and has been adopted by the majority of LGBT community centres and LGBT media in most English speaking countries.

NOW WAKE UP AT THE BACK ! - we have moved on from 2005 and now the term LGBTQ is heralded as the latest label to aqquire – bringing into the fold all QUEERS whether they are str8, gay bi or wotever.

Anyone who is radical, bizzare or doesn’t fit in would be more accurately queer since the word QUEER is no longer the sole property of gayers or queer bashers. London’s fashionistas, Ditch lovers and fetishists may consider QUEER a wider term to define their remit when it comes to the late night viewing of  http://www.xtube.com/ or such like, retro club nights or breakthrough performance art.
